Default Slow Down - The Tourist Commisions

Hello,

I opened this thread more to work on my artwork than to make money in Guild Wars, but hey that's just a bonus. I've never actually drawn Guild Wars characters before but I'm sure it's not much different than drawing people... just with fancy armor and weapons :D

Conditions of Requests
  • One commission at a time per person
  • Only 3 commissions at a time (Current work will be listed so you can keep track)
  • All work will be done in pencil unless specially requested for it to be digitally painted (This will run you 10k extra)
  • One fully shaded pencil drawing with whatever weapons, armor, and pose you desire is the standard for one portrait

Costs
  • One portrait: 20k
  • One digitally painted portrait: 30k
  • Additional features (ie. pets, minipets, etc.): +10k/each

Since I don't have any examples of character drawings, I'll just post a few things from my portfolio so you'll know if you like my style.

Also, here's my dA page, http://lithiumpeanut.deviantart.com/

I hope you all enjoy what I have to offer and come back as often as you please.

Question

hm, if I am not mistaken, there is an element of darkness about your work ~ Alacrity is normally playful, but in a lethal way; she would not be out of place in a horror setting:

how about drawing her sitting (or one foot up) on a log/treestump/bench/rock, she has a smug little smile whilst she's trimming her nails with a dagger or wiping one clean;
she's just eliminated someone, and is dripping, splattered and sticky ..

costume (those pants would suit your style better I think)

these ceremonials look just right for the job (or those kukri, as you please)

here's some pics of her in b/w in a different costume, which might be a better refrence for her face etc ..

a pencil sketch please; if you feel that some colour would enhance this I'll happily upgrade it.
I realise that this is not firstcome/firstserved, but hopefully you'll find Alacrity disturbingly appealing ~

Thanks you guys for liking my work, I'll get right on those. Since there aren't that many I'll do first come first served for now, so the assassin first, then the elementalist.

Here is an album if you'd like to consider her
Her name is Brianna Helmcleaver

Character Name: Kirabi Wutang
Class: Assassin
Eye Color:Green
Persona: Always ready to charge into battle he thinks of himself more of a warrior that an assassin. But he understands that when the time calls for he he can be quiter than the night and darker than the shadows.

Reference picture(s): http://img13.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=gw832.jpg
Suggestions: An actiony pose, if you could try and work in the Split Chakrams it'd be amazing!

EDIT: After seeing Fire's Ele I'm going to have to change to a digital portrait. So in essence the 30k option.

~Kirabi

The three pieces that you've displayed thus far are astounding, however, human portraits are far harder then still-life (Much to my own dismay). I would like to see what you can do with a guildwars figure before I request a commission myself.

Yes, that's me, so I'm guessing you found my dA account? lol
For everyone else, my dA account is http://lithiumpeanut.deviantart.com just so you can see that, yes, I can draw humans as decently as still life and conceptual pieces.

I also added it to my first post.

Meh I see you already got similar mesmers in this thread, but I wouldn't mind one if you had the time still (Digitally painted)

She's inspired by the bride from kill bill, and her killing style is that of elegance and grace. She's definitely unafraid to kill. Yes I realize I've used the word 'kill' like 3 times already =P

Edit: Damn got too excited and posted before I read the 3 commissions only thing =P

Ok, I finished Smilin' Assassin's commission for Alacrity:

The face didn't really turn out how I'd hoped, but I hope you still like it anyway.

@Silverhand: Sorry but you have to pick one or the other, but you can totally get back in line and get the other ;]
(Plus if I did both at the same time it'd most likely be the same pose, you'll get two different ones if you go one at a time.)

Very interesting work. Dark and horrific fits Konig well...

I'll take "One portrait: 20k"

Biography:
Was born back in a time when Dhuum was still the God of Death, Konig was turned into a lich when he asked for power to kill those who were trying to kill him (who they were is now unknown, only Konig knows, as he killed many different groups of people). He was forced in his contract to Dhuum to act as a “living” Envoy for years, until Dhuum fell. But even then, Grenth forced Konig to continue duties, but in a more just matter.

When Abaddon rebelled, Konig made a deal with Grenth. Konig would help defeat Abaddon in exchange for his freedom. The deal was made and upon the victory of the True Gods, Konig’s duties were over. Konig enjoyed his freedom for many years, but soon (to him) became bored with nothing to do. He was witnessed Joko’s turn into becoming a Lich, and saw Thorn turn mad in life – which was partially caused by Joko’s turn into becoming a Lich. Konig now celebrates Thorn’s return with much eagerness, as he enjoys the slaughter that Thorn brings about – as he says, Halloween is a time for him to increase his “Deadite Army.”

Two hundred years ago, Konig sided with Palawa Joko in his war against Elona, but when Joko lost, Konig lost interest and left for Tyria where he met Mage Lord Odran. Lord Odran tricked and trapped Konig, using his energy to power some of the first portals. After the creation of the portals, Odran quickly locked Konig in the catacombs underneath Ascalon, where he was stuck there until 1070 AE. In 1070 AE, Azazel freed him when the Necromancer Order of Ascalon complained about a foul presence in the Catacombs that was, until recently, dormant. Upon freedom, Konig was sent north of the wall with Azazel to put a dent in the Charr’s invading force; here they met Agares Hastur – a very recent prisoner of the Charr. While north of the wall, the Searing occurred, the group only returned to “find bodies for rebuilding my army that was destroyed with Joko” as Konig stated.

----

For the work, just do whatever you want. Just keep that scar on his face ^_^ If you want to include his weapon, it would be a Deldrimor Staff
